Onboard conveniences include a bar, a café serving cold and hot meals, a games area, a baby changing room and good facilities for disabled passengers. The ship can accommodate 895 passengers and has room for 200 vehicles. The Red Eagle sails the same route and can transport 895 passengers and 200 cars. Onboard facilities are similar to the Red Falcon's and speeds of up to 14 knots can be reached.

The faster Red Jet Hi-Speed service operates frequent crossings between Southampton and West Cowes. The ship can reach a maximum speed of 35 knots and has a crossing time of just 22 minutes. The hi-speed ferry does not include lavatories and facilities are limited. The ship has a capacity for 275 passengers.
